Three tiered SEO packages with an upward performance line rising across them

What do SEO packages actually cost in the UK?

24 July 2026 · 5 min read

Most agencies make you book a call to find out a price. In July 2026 we did the digging instead: we surveyed UK agencies that publish their SEO prices openly, the ones serving small businesses and local firms, and recorded what the market actually charges. If you are weighing up SEO packages right now, this is the honest picture.

The real market bands

Entry-level packages from regional UK agencies typically sit between £330 and £450 a month. At that level you should expect a small tracked keyword set, basic on-site work, and a monthly report. Mid-tier packages run from roughly £650 to £999 a month and add more content, link monitoring, and a named account contact. The top of the regional market sits between £999 and £1,500 a month, usually with larger keyword sets and more content each month.

One-off SEO audits ranged from about £500 to £2,500 depending on the size of the site, with most small-site audits in the lower half of that range.

Prices well below these bands exist. So does a reason to be careful: a £99 package cannot fund the hours that real research, real content and real technical work take. Something in the package is being skipped, and it is rarely disclosed which part.

What should actually be inside a package

Whatever the price, a package you can trust names its contents specifically. Keyword research grounded in your own search data, not a generic list. Content that is written for your customers and shown to you before it goes live. Technical checks that catch crawl and indexing problems before they cost rankings. And a report each month that a busy owner can read in five minutes without a glossary.

Be wary of packages sold on deliverables that sound impressive but resist checking: "domain authority improvements", "hundreds of directory submissions", or guaranteed rankings. Nobody can guarantee a ranking, because nobody outside the search engines controls one.

Four questions that protect you

First: what exactly do I get each month, in countable things? Second: who owns the content and the accounts if we part ways? The answer should be you, unambiguously. Third: what does the notice period look like? Long lock-ins protect the agency, not you. Fourth: how will you show me what changed and why it mattered? If the answer is a dashboard link rather than a written explanation, you will be doing the interpreting yourself.

Where we stand

We publish our prices on our pricing page, our SEO package includes weekly articles drafted for your approval, and every number we report is checked against its source before you see it. That is not a claim that we are the right fit for everyone. It is a claim that you should not have to book a sales call just to learn a price, from us or from anyone.
